Introduction:
We are looking for Dishwashers to maintain cleanliness and efficiency in our kitchen. You will be responsible for washing dishes and kitchen equipment, making sure everything is clean and ready for use. The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented, able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and committed to maintaining high standards of hygiene.
Role and responsibilities;
- Washes all dishes, by hand or using the dishwasher;
- Correctly places and stores equipment, utensils and clean tools in designated storage areas;
- Cleans waste containers with water or steam;
- Moves materials and dishwashing equipment from the warehouse to the work area;
- May assist in cleaning and preparing various foods for cooking and/or serving, as directed;
- Ensures work areas remain safe, clean and orderly, adhering to all company, local and state health, safety and hygiene guidelines;
- Performs other related duties, as assigned;
- Washes and disinfects all pans and dishes;
- Cleans, disinfects and maintains cooking machinery;
- Regularly empty the garbage containers;
- Keeps a clean work area/kitchen by sweeping and cleaning as needed;
- Performs additional cleaning duties as requested;
- Maintains food preparation stations and equipment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education diploma;
- Restaurant or customer service experience preferred;
- Ability to obtain and maintain a food handler's certification card;
- Skill in movement;
- Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays
- Working knowledge of sanitary procedures
Nice to have:
- Ability to work quickly and effectively.
